Travel Information

By train

Freiburg can be most easily reached by train. Freiburg is an ICE stop and there is an hourly connection from the South (Basel) or North (Mannheim). For train travel please visit

By airplane

Freiburg can be conveniently reached from the two major airports Frankfurt and Zurich and the two local airports EuroAirport (Basel-Mulhouse- Freiburg) or Strasbourg.


From Frankfurt (Rhein/Main) or Zurich

Once you arrive at the terminal go to the Train Station located within the airport. There is an hourly ICE connection to Freiburg. Please visit http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de for details. Train ride from both airports takes ca. 2 hours.


From EuroAirport (Basel-Mulhouse- Freiburg)

There is a bus connecting from the terminal to Freiburg Central Station. The bus schedule can be found at www.freiburger-reisedienst.de/en/airportbus/timetable.php.


From Strasbourg

Go from the terminal to the train station (2 min walk) and take any train to Strasbourg Central Station (ca. 10 min). From Strasbourg select a train to Freiburg which can be found under
